We played against University of Hongkong. We played like shit. NO JOKE. Feels like the first match we played during last year opens, with Republic Poly. Sigh. Gotta train harder.

BUT GUESS WHAT
I landed on a friend’s feet after blocking during the first match. Got sub-ed out, and zk taped it for me, added a whole lot of yoko, rested for one set and I played again. It didn’t feel that painful, just that I didn’t really dare to jump too much. And now when I’m home resting, my damn ankle is swelling up.

Mum just fixed my strained thumb last night. Now my ankle. Shit man. The first time i sprained my ankle, during P6 when I was training for high jump. Second time, 3 years back when i missed a step when trying to aviod stinky who has the same color tone as the stairs at home. No more bad sprains since then.

THIS BETTER NOT BE THE THIRD.

Anyway, we managed to get mr greedy from 711! heh heh heh. Our second try. and it’s on my about to spoil phone with fred’s gift from japan, alliance keychain and the mizuno tag! I’m a happy kid.

Oh yeah, zk got me my vb shorts from mizuno too! :) thanks dingdong.  and bing got me the red jersey! and we got our new jersey for this year’s opens!

2 months back, these were my three choices for internship
1: YOG 2010
2. SUNTEC Singapore
3: Raffles City Convention
My professor insisted that venue was a better choice, that’s why SUNTEC & Raffles city. But deep in me I really really wanted to get YOG though SUNTEC was a better option. I wanted to do the olympics. At least in my lifetime. What other job can be better than being able to be with youths, sports and events on an international scale all at one shot. Unfortunately, when I told others about my choices, almost all would rather I get into SUNTEC than YOG. Even zk, even my parents. Maybe even God.

And, SUNTEC called up for an interview even before YOG. I went for it.

Attending AYG hit me badly. I wish I was part of the organizing team. I wish I was on floor and not sitting at the spectators area. I regret not helping out (more so they agreed to pay). I regret giving up on YOG commentator after going through the first round. I regret not going the extra mile to apply for intern with YOG.

The weekend just went by. Two days of watching the matches
Though I really enjoyed watching the thai girls play

I got irritated over every other thing that happened
Picked on every damn thing zk did
And I’m sorry I refused to explain things

Today’s the first time I met zk in his army uniform. Yeah, you look like……. hero.
haha. crap.

I’m left with one semester (5 weeks) and I’m done with studying. Pretty slack schedule with just 3 hours of school per day from Monday to Saturday. Which means it’s time for me to get back on track by working out. It has been eons since I picked up those dumb bells. Dumb bells weighing 2pounds each works wonders! REALLY. I better work hard now, more so opens starts on the second week of August.

I’m also trying hard to cut down on junk food and limit myself to a max of 1 fast food meal per week. AND to drink more mineral water (which I really hate). I hope it works. I ate so much junk the last month, I can’t really jump now. And the coolest of all, I can live without mineral water for days! That’s why I’m always falling sick. Sigh

Anyway, here’s a photo of stinkybell i took today. I still think she’s super adorable. BUT at the same time sickening. Just like how she zooms into my cupboard the moment I open it and have to wait till she gets out of it.

Other then that, weekyweekends! We’ll be going to watch AYG at siloso tmr and hopefully get to play at tanjong :D

DAY 1
26 JUNE 2009
FRIDAY

The team came over to my place to surprise him. The entire process was REALLY hilarious.

I told him that my aunt would like to treat us to dinner on Friday. He didn’t really want to go as he insisted that he needed to rest that night to prepare for IPPT the next morning. Seriously, WTH. Anyway, he did agree to go for it in the end.

So as planned, he came to my place to pick me up while the rest were already at my place waiting since six odd. It was eight by the time he arrived. zzz. Anyway the guys surprised him at the lift. The lift door open and albert jumped into it which really shocked the hell out of zk.

He was damn shocked, the lift door closed and he didn’t even have time to react to it! So he went all the way back to level one and back up to the 10th floor. STUPID! We laughed so damn loud mum said we attracted quite a bit of attention from the neighbouring blocks.

and we got him fredrick’s favorite cake which turned out to be everyone’s favorite (: White choco mac from secret recipe and bing drew on it (: YA. a pretty cake for you so you wont have to bug me for not getting you a cake last year. idiot.

Anyohow, it was steamboat time (:

DAY 2
27 JUNE 2009
Saturday

We headed for lunch at Astons and then to Underwaterworld. FYI, I’ve only been there once, for excursion during primary school. HAHA! Anyway, I managed to get complimentary tickets. So, to kill time, we went there.

THANK GOD THE TICKETS WE GOT ARE COMPS!
Cause I see no reason why I’ll spend close to 50 bucks watching sea creatures which freak the hell out of me!
YUCKS! :( :( :(

and zhikang kept forcing me to touch the damn starfish at the touch pool. OMG. kill me for that. I’m not a fan of sea creatures :( Then he wanted to take photos with us carrying the snake! All because he knows I hate reptiles! Still, we left without touching the snakes and starfishes :D

but I had fun at the souvenier shop, where sea creatures look all so innocent and cute

DAY 3
28 JUNE 2009
SUNDAY

I recall waking up at 6 in the morning asking him if he really needed to go to work. I knew the answer but yeah, I still asked. For the first time after all the getaways, we both got out of bed early enough for breakfast. Food at Shutters Restaurant was pretty good, quite a wide variety of food. Just that he didn’t have that much time and had to rush off soon after.

The parting moment was so dramatic. I felt really sad. But by the time I got back to the room to watch japan hour, a whole lot of tom and jerry and f1, I fell asleep. Woke up only at noon, ate a bag of chips, soaked myself in the bath tub and he came back earlier than expected (:

Slacked and watched badminton the rest of the day before heading off for training.

It’s the thought that matters right baby :D
